Many people ask how we got started. We got started because we were just like you. Someone who wanted to do something. Someone who wanted to change the world, and knowing it had to start with one dog, one time.
Our roots come from a rescue on the other side of the country. Our family and friends have put their heart and soul into the rescue and saved over 16,000 dogs so far. We always thought of it as a them problem. How sad it was that those places had such a homeless dog problem. And we realized something staggering.
The crisis is not just in Houston and Los Angeles. The crisis is here. In Florida. In 2023, over 350,000 dogs were brought into shelters across Florida. Of those brought into shelters, over 22,000 were euthanized.
That is over 350,000 toe beans that will never be lovingly caressed by a human again. 22,000 snoots that will not get to turn lovingly to their owners as they take one last walk of the day at sunset. 22,000 dogs that will not be able to lay their head down one more time in a soft bed.
So what can we realistically do? 22,000 is a huge number.
We can start with one. Start with five. Start with ten. Start with twenty.
We can do this. Together. One dog at a time. And together we will not fail.
